Meet “Radar” – the MatrixSpace Mascot
Our vision is to reinvent the use of radar worldwide with our very small but powerful form factor radar. For an easy way to remember MatrixSpace, we created a mascot based on a MatrixSpacer’s beloved family dog – who loves to be part of everything we do and talk about around the MatrixSpace office. Meet Radar!
Radar comes to work with us, sits by our desks, joins our calls and reminds us when we need to take a break. She’s also a great sounding-board and makes sure everything is safe and secure around the neighborhood. Who better to help explain MatrixSpace Radar too?
Radar is a Saint Bernard, used extensively in search and rescue activities around the world. In fact, they were the very first dog ever used in search and rescue many centuries ago. MatrixSpace Radar is also the first of its kind—a smartphone-sized, AI-embedded, 4D radar. Saint Bernards are relentless, go-anywhere searchers that work in harsh locations and poor visibility, relying on their strong sense of smell. Similarly, MatrixSpace Radar is built for rugged and remote sensing with the intelligence to find, recognize, and track things day or night, even in the harshest conditions, including smoke.
We removed the traditional barrel and attached the world’s smallest radar to her collar and hey presto – she’s ready to start searching for you!
Saint Bernards move in certain ways when searching, and those “sweeping” patterns are similar to the way that our radar searches and identifies – even if the object is a fast-moving golf ball.
We can’t take all the credit for this brilliant idea. Part of our inspiration came from another dog you might know – our partner Asylon’s robot dog. But our dog is more furry.
But Radar isn’t just a cute and loveable mascot, she is also the perfect metaphor for the value and benefits of MatrixSpace Radar, especially over other available technologies.
