Dr Jose Martinez Lorenzo
Dr. Lorenzo is a tenured professor at Northeastern University in Boston MA. He has over 25 years of research in the computational modeling of acoustic and electromagnetic waves through complex media and holds multiple patents for his work.
His applied research includes autonomous swarming of drones, explosive detection, subsurface sensing, multi-modal breast cancer, non-destructive testing and micro-sized microwave atmospheric satellites. He directs the Sensing, Imaging, Control Actuation and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at Northeastern University and has received a 2017 NSF Early CAREER Award.
He has published over 70 journal papers and 130 conference papers, and his work has been featured by CNN, NBC, New York Times, and Wired Magazine. Professor Martinez serves as an associate editor in the IEEE Transactions on Antennas & Propagation.
