MatrixSpace is a leader in autonomous flight, secure communications, and radar systems. We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Design Engineer to develop a communications protocol and control application. This includes operation/modification of standard communications protocol plus mesh networking, antenna steering, acquisition, and tracking. The engineer will work in conjunction with communications RF and FPGA development. The engineer will create software to operate the coatrixSpace is developing Radio Frequency (RF) communications and radar capabilities to complement their autonomous drone systems. We are looking for an experienced engineer with a proven track record of innovation that can help create novel, differentiated dual-mode radio solutions. The candidate must have the ability to translate system requirements into creative system and circuit solutions including signal processing algorithm development.

Responsibilities:
- Lead design and test RF circuits and systems
- System architecture design and analysis
- Circuit design including component selection and implementation
- Testing of RF circuits and systems
- Participate in signal processing algorithm development
- Participate in overall product definition and design
- Competitive analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- At least 15 years of RF circuit and system experience
- Experience with communications protocols such as 5G, LTE, 3G, or 802.11
- Knowledge of RF components such as amplifiers, filters, mixers, and passive components
- Experience conducting cascaded RF lineup analysis and link budgets
- Expertise with RF test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
- Experience with circuits at mmwave frequencies is desired
- Experience with phased arrays and/or radar is desired
- Software experience including C, Python, and Matlab is desired
- Experience with FPGAs and/or SDRs is desired
- Must be a US Citizen
