We are seeking a Senior Radar-Comms-RF Engineer to help develop customer solutions with industry-leading radar and communications systems. The role will span the technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system level design and implementation, integration, validation, and field test.
We are looking for engineers to be immediately integrated into design teams to solve difficult technical problems. The candidate will report to the Director of Federal Systems.
Tasks:
- Analyze user requirements to derive system level design and performance requirements.
- Conduct radar system analysis to architect custom radar solutions for focused applications of the technology within the Department of Defense and Commercial markets.
- Design and analysis of signal and data processing technologies, mesh network communication, electronics protection, and system-of-systems integration.
- Develop radar and communication system simulations, models, algorithms, and perform data analysis.
- Create test solutions, especially for over-the-air testing and system functional testing.
- Participate in laboratory and field integration testing to validate system performance.
- Contribute to research and development that fuels innovation and technological advancements.
- Serve as team lead for system level development, integration, and test projects.
Skills:
- Expertise in design and optimization of radar circuits and systems.
- Experience with small form factor radar and/or comms design, RF hardware design, phased array antennas, and system-of-systems integration.
- Experience with K-Band radar and Communications systems is a plus.
- Experience with Radar and Communications link budget and performance analysis.
- Experience with anechoic chamber antenna analysis and RCS measurements.
- Expertise in clutter reduction, target identification, CFAR, target tracking, and target classification algorithms.
- Ability to construct simulations of radar systems including range, probability of detection, and probability of false alarms.
- Demonstrated hardware debugging skill using laboratory bench equipment.
- Software experience including C/C++, Python, and Matlab.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering tools, like CAMEO or CATIA, is a plus.
- Experience with Military and Government programs.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Willing to travel, up to 20%.
- US Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain government security clearance.
